TK / School-Age ProgramFor more information, ask about our in-house TK program at our Prairie City location.
Our in-house TK program is designed to give children a strong foundation for kindergarten in a nurturing, structured environment. The program runs each morning from 8:30am–12:30pm, providing a focused block of time for early learning, social development, and hands-on activities that prepare students for future success. TK kids are welcome to stay for the afternoon program after the morning TK program. |

MORE ABOUT Ms. su
Suganya Manikandan (Su) – Educator & Author
I am an early childhood educator with a strong commitment to creating learning experiences that nurture the whole child. As a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) teacher at Kids Inc, I design and deliver a curriculum that is Reggio Emilia-inspired, play-based, and aligned with California TK standards. The curriculum I developed emphasizes inquiry, relationships, and creativity, helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
In the classroom, I focus on hands-on, meaningful learning that extends beyond academics. Children explore letters, numbers, science, and art through structured play, inquiry projects, and daily routines, but the heart of my teaching lies in building social-emotional and interpersonal skills. I believe that early childhood is a time for joy, curiosity, and discovery, where friendships, self-regulation, and confidence come before formal academics.
Before moving into education, I worked in the banking industry as an Analyst at the Royal Bank of Scotland. That experience strengthened my organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills—abilities that now support my role as a teacher, leader, and curriculum designer.
Alongside my work in education, I am also a children’s author. My books include “Zoink and the Friendship Quest” and the “Max & Ruby’s Mystery Club” series (The Case of the Missing Collar). These stories reflect the same themes that shape my classroom: friendship, curiosity, and kindness. Writing allows me to connect with children beyond the classroom and encourage a lifelong love of reading.
My philosophy in early childhood education is rooted in the belief that children thrive when they feel safe, connected, and inspired. By combining play, relationships, and creativity, I aim to create environments where every child can be themselves, discover their strengths, and experience the joy of learning.
